Lowry Avenue Sidewalk & Roadway Improvement Project

The City of Jeannette will soon begin the Lowry Avenue Sidewalk & Roadway Improvement Project to improve pedestrian safety, accessibility, and improved roadway conditions for residents and visitors.

Project Purpose:

This project will install new ADA-compliant sidewalks and rehabilitate the roadway on Lowry Avenue to better serve local residents and maintain connectivity to the Central Business District.

Project Location:
Lowry Avenue between the PennDOT Driver License Center and Park Street.

Planned Improvements

  • Replacement of curbs and sidewalks on both the east and west sides of Lowry Avenue
  • Approximately 1,650 feet of new curbs and sidewalks
  • Installation of new ADA-compliant curb ramps on both the east and west sides of Lowry Avenue
  • Rehabilitation of the Lowry Avenue roadway
  • Approximately 825 feet of roadway milling and asphalt overlay

The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during construction. Temporary traffic disruptions and limited access may occur while work is underway.
