NOTICE: To all residents, the Jeannette Police Department is actively enforcing parking and vehicle violations. We continue to receive a number of complaints regarding parking on sidewalks and parking in the wrong direction. Upon the receipt of a complaint, an officer will investigate the matter. The department has recently returned to full staffing and is utilizing the additional staff to investigate all complaints.
Unfortunately, some residents have already received tickets due to parking and traffic violations. Please remember the Vehicle Code is State Law and must be followed at all times.
Some common Vehicle Code violations are:
§ 3353(A)(1)(ii) No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle on a sidewalk.

§ 3353(A)(2)(iv) No person shall stand or park a vehicle within 30 feet upon the approach to any flashing signal, stop sign, yield sign or traffic-control signal located at the site of a roadway.
§ 3354(a) Every vehicle standing or parked upon a two-way highway shall be positioned parallel to and with the right-hand wheels within 12 inches of the right-hand curb or, in the absence of a curb, as close as practicable to the right edge of the right-hand shoulder.
